As described in the California Labor Code 1720.4.(a), each participant is a "volunteer" meaning an individual who performs work for civic, charitable, or humanitarian reasons for WHOmentors.com, Inc., a nonprofit public benefit corporation qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a tax-exempt organization, without promise, expectation, or receipt of any compensation for work performed.    

NOTE 1: An individual shall be considered a volunteer only when his or her services are offered freely and without pressure and coercion, direct or implied, from WHOmentors.com, Inc., an employer.    

NOTE 2: An individual may receive reasonable meals, lodging, transportation, and incidental expenses or nominal nonmonetary awards without losing volunteer status if, in the entire context of the situation, those benefits and payments are not a substitute form of compensation for work performed.

NOTE 3: Individuals are requested to advance their own personal funds to WHOmentors.com, Inc. for the operation of this charitable activity (Rockefeller v. Commissioner, 1982).

Model Face Talent Agency provides or offers to provide novice talent with photographs, customized internet web sites, or other reproductions or other promotional materials, lessons, coaching, seminars, workshops, or similar training for the novice talent; or one or more of the following services:    

(1) Procuring or attempting to procure an employment opportunity or an engagement as an artist.

(2) Procuring or attempting to procure an audition for an artist.    

(3) Managing or directing the development of an artist's career.    

(4) Procuring or attempting to procure a talent agent or talent manager, including an associate, representative, or designee of a talent agent or talent manager.
